The Brief 
Passionate about the planet and doing things the right way, the team behind this rooibos tea brand approached us to assist in the creation of a comprehensive brand that accurately represents their core values. 
The Rationale 
Day One is an independent rooibos tea producer founded on the realisation that no South African tea supplier is involved in every step of the production process. Having spotted this gap, Sebraskop Investments established Day One to signify their commitment to the entire cycle. 
'Day One' is a colloquial term often used online among millennials when describing the person or people who have supported them from the very beginning. The logo and packaging are a take on the current coffee culture of the world - thereby positioning the brand as cool as, if not cooler than, coffee. In addition to being healthier than coffee, rooibos tea is caffeine-free. The use of an orange, red, green, and brown colour palette speaks to the life cycle of the Rooibos plant, and the use of a brown-paper packet sealed with a stamp gives the brand an authentic and charming appeal.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, NAME GENERATION, WEBSITE CONTENT CREATION & LABEL COPYWRITING.
THIS PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN 2018 WHILE I WORKED AS A COPYWRITER FOR WHITESPACE CREATIVE.
